Sure, they decompose rapidly. You can also compost egg cartons, cereal boxes, coffee filters … Just make sure you have lots of "brown material’.
Yes, they will break down in no time and they shouldn’t do any harm when you apply the finished compost. Just please use them before they get composted and they wont be a total waste.
Amazingly the sun dissipates bleach and chlorine rapidly.
Quick thought, that’s why chlorine has to be checked daily in a swimming pool.
